When you use ShiftSay, we collect:

Account information: Email address, company name, industry.

Employee data: Names, roles, locations, access codes (as provided by the manager).

Survey responses: Answers submitted by employees through the platform.

Behavior data: Location events, task logs, and app usage (only when tracking is enabled and consented to).

Chat messages: Group chat content, stored in scrambled format.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the ShiftSay platform.

To generate anonymized analytics and AI-powered insights.

To process subscriptions and payments.

To communicate service updates and support requests.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Chat messages are scrambled on-device before transmission. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

4. Employee Privacy

Managers are responsible for informing employees about what data is being tracked and obtaining consent. Surveys can be configured as anonymous. Employees can see their own behavior data. ShiftSay provides transparency tools — employees know when location tracking is active.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. You may request data export at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

ShiftSay uses C5-DEV AI for insights generation. Data sent to AI is anonymized and used solely for analysis. We do not send personally identifiable information to third-party AI providers.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Employees may request to see what data their employer has collected about them. To exercise these rights, contact support@shiftsay.com

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
